Who we are · What we're for

Art, culture,
and community.

De Colores Arts Collective, Inc. was founded to promote and celebrate Hispanic art and culture in our region. We put art in front of public, opportunity in front of artists, and culture at the center of our growing rural communities.

Our mission

We celebrate and share Hispanic art and culture, supporting the artists who carry it forward, and spreading cultural awareness and knowledge across the region we call home.

Causes We Support & Goals

Ways We Will Give Back to the Community

01
In the schools

Paying down lunch debt

After seeing the problem first hand, one of the ways De Colores wants to give back is by helping to pay down school lunch debt. No child should be denied a hot meal if they have a negative balance. Students should not be going table to table asking their friends for loose change so they can get a granola bar. Plenty of food is thrown out at the end of the day. The aim is to preserve a student's dignity in the lunch line as well as ensuring they remain nourished and alert the remainder of the school day.

02
For the artists

Connect artists with opportunity.

We will strive to connect painters, musicians, dancers, and culinary artists with real opportunities to showcase their work, and connect with the people and places where they can build a following.

03
Giving back

Supplies for teachers.

Teachers should not be limited by their budgets to provide the best learning experiences to our kids. We will support local teachers by helping them execute their ideas in the classroom.

04
Once a year

Annual Cultural Festival

Every year, during the last week of Hispanic Heritage Month, we throw an outdoor festival and art fair — live music, dance performances, and fine art, all in one place — a full day of color that brings the whole region together.

THe goal is to celebrate the year-long efforts of our organization and a thank you to our supporters, and our loudest invitation to anyone who hasn't found us yet. In addition to a smaller local craft fairs, the Dia De Colores aims to showcase the work of our members by hosting an annual fair.

05
Across the region

Spread cultural awareness and knowledge.

Underneath it all is one throughline: to spread cultural awareness and knowledge throughout the region — so that Hispanic art, music, food, and tradition are known, valued, and shared by everyone here.
