Ask any artist and they’ll tell you the truth nobody warns you about: making art can be lonely.
You spend hours in a studio, a kitchen, a garage, a corner of the living room pouring yourself into something only you can see. and then you look up and realize you’ve been alone with it for weeks. The work is the joy, yes. But the silence around the work? That part wears on you. It’s easy to start wondering if anyone out there sees the world the way you do, if anyone else is up at midnight chasing the same kind of beauty. That quiet isolation is the thing most creatives carry and rarely name. And it takes a colossal amount of courage to bring your art to the masses.
The De Colores Arts Guild exists to break these negative vibes.
What we are building is what happens when you stop making art alone and start making it in good company. It’s a room full of people who get it: painters, crafters, musicians, culinary artists, and makers of every kind, who light up when you talk about the thing you’re working on instead of changing the subject. People who want to know everything about your style, your process…YOU.
It’s community with a purpose, and that purpose is real and tangible: a place to fearlessly showcase your creativity and talent. Because here’s what changes everything about being a guild member…maybe someday…becomes a NOW. That was the driving force behind this Collective and we are here for you.
Public displays. Art shows. Festival booths. Studio crawls where the community walks right into your creative world. Teaching nights where you pass on what you know and learn what you don’t. Visiting artists who crack your perspective wide open. The wall between “I make things” and “people see what I make” comes down, and it comes down fast.
And this isn’t a guild that happens *to* you…it’s one you help build. This organization IS YOU – It’s US. Our members run the activity committees, dream up the studio crawls, organize the public art, and sit at the table each month where we talk through the real business of the guild.
You don’t join to be a name on a roster; you join to have a hand in all of it.
For $40 a year, you get a creative home, a built-in audience, a community that has your back, and a genuine sense of purpose that’s hard to find anywhere else. We’re just getting started, so this is an opportunity to be a founding member. The first 20 paid members will be forever recognized as a member of the Founding Friends that helped make THIS vision a reality.
